Is this the best combo for the price?

Using it for school, and games when I can and have time. I already have an 850watt power supply, geforce 450gts (i'll sli later) cpu cooler, case, and a 500gb hard drive

It's not bad except for the 1 stick of RAM. It would be better with two 4GB sticks.

Hmm. From what i read, if I ran 4 ram modules, the speed would be slower than using 2x ram modules. So i think this will be good if i get another 8gb down the road, and have 16gb ram in the fastest dual channel setting, rather than using 16gb via 4 dimm slots. Am i correct?
