Hi, im looking to upgrade my system to a GTX 970.
I've read some posts about how an avergae FX-6350 and a GTX 970 would be bottlenecked at
1080p + resolutions.
With that knowledge, I've considered buying a new CPU, the FX-8320e. I'm trying to spend as little money as possible, preferably >$600

Right now, I'm running 1366x768, with no plans to upgrade.
Will the 970 be bottlenecked by the FX-6350 at 1366x768?
Thanks for your time!

Hi, thanks for your time.
Im aware that the answer is no, but im quite confused as to how it wont at the moment. Will there be a sudden change of drivers? Sorry if im being dumb, but i want to know if i should invest into the 8320e or stick with my 6350.

Thanks.

Get GTX 970 , Try and see/measure the GPU load by GPU-Z or MSI Afterburner . If needed , get Core i5 !

The 6350 should still be playing modern games at 60FPS, in about a year though you will need a new CPU so I recommend upgrading the GPU now and the CPU in a year.

I think he is being short with you, but the thing is, at 720p a gtx 970 is absolutely, positively overkill.

You can get away with a 650 ti and be fine. But instead, you should also invest in a 1080p monitor. you will be really glad you did. :) :)
