Hi, can a repaired or attempted repair (don't know yet) bent pinned motherboard blow my cpu or will not just not boot?

I got a GA-Z97X-GAMING-G1-WIFI-BK real cheap with 3 bent pins and they look alright now but should i test my i7 4790 in it or too risky?

When i bought it i'd seen videos and read about it working but actually doing it and maybe risking my new cpu is another matter. If i had a celeron or cheap dual core i wouldn't give a crap!

Cheers

Sometimes the bent pins can be straightened out and utilized - sometimes they have lost their rigidity, and can create a short....there is no way to guarantee it won't blow the CPU.....but chances are the worst thing that will happen is it won't boot. The mobo has built in short protection....but it still won't be a 100% guarantee...
