I started out with a certain budget in mind for my new build. Needed a cpu, mobo, cpu cooler and hard drive. I have ended up changing my mind a million times and blew my budget out of the water on my cpu and mobo alone. Think i'm going with 4690k and asus maximus VII Hero and i'll hold off on the hard drive and cooler till black friday deals. Do you think the stock cooler will be fine for gaming as long as I do no overclocking or tweaking of any kind?

Stock cooler is fine, it comes with copper core cooling, it will work for you without overclocking. it might spin a little hard during intense gaming, but nothing effects the performance or the life of CPU.
Have fun gaming man!
