Hello

my Mb is H81m-e asus recently assembled.
my graphic is asus hd 5670 1gb ddr3 and i have a plan to upgrade it.
i looked recently released cards' spec and found that they use PCIe x16 3.0
i want to know if my board supports it 'se in some sites i found that my board only supports PCIe 2.0/2.1 only_
thanks

Solution
No, there's no reduced performance, the GPUs simply aren't fast enough to utilize the extra bandwidth provided by the newer PCIe 3.0. A good article:

thanks

is there any reduced performance?

in this link:http://www.pc-specs.com/mobo/Asus/Asus_H81M-E/2489

it says

"There are 1 PCIe x16 slots on this motherboard. This means it is perfectly capable of accommodating the latest graphics cards, although it is important to try and use a graphics card with the same graphics card interface of PCIe v2.x, as anything below will not reach the motherboard's potential, and anything above will have its performance slashed to the bandwidth maximum of the Asus H81M-E's PCIe v2.x."

does this means i can use the card but with reduced performance?

thanks guys

ok thanks that explains with a practical.
so PCIe interface is not important at all
thank you for your time and answer :)

just to give an analogy, let's say a road has a max speed limit, if you use a road with a low speed limit (this is pci-e 1.0), or a road with a higher speed limit (pcie 2.x), or a road with an even higher speed limit (pcie 3.0),
will it matter? well it depends on what your car (your gpu) is, how fast it is.
if you use a car that can go 300mph to a road with a 100mph limit, then the car will be forced to run slower due to the limit.

but if your car can run 100mph but the speed limit is 200mph it will still run at full speed. your gpu is ok, but not that fast, so older pci-e is ok. even high end cards wont reach the limit given by the pci-e 3.0. for now at least

thanks man
your analogy makes things more clear
