I understand the reasoning for why I lost frames, but my question is which part of my build needs to be upgraded. Here is the link to what I built the other day - bearing in mind that I reused some parts from my old build, namely the power supply, graphics card and optical drive. I just recently bought a 22-inch monitor (listed in the link) to replace my 1366x768 one, and noticed that my frames in Battlefield 4 - where I was running at 55-60 frames on my old monitor - is now 30 to 45 on 1080p. Watch Dogs had similar performance and was reduced by ten or fifteen frames as well.

Is my graphics card too weak to handle it? I reused it from my old build, but I was going to upgrade to the GTX 970 once they came in stock.

The upgrade to a 970 will serve you well pretty much no matter what you have right now. :)

When the resolution effects performance, it is always the graphics card that holding you back.

I'm an idiot. I apologize. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zV47Mp For the RAM issue at the bottom, I actually just have 1 stick of 8GB, but I couldn't find it on PartPicker.

Yep, the 750 ti is a solid card, but for higher demanding games it gets pushed to the edge.

the 970 to a 750 ti.. isn't even comparable.. a 970 will be a different dimension for you :p

In general sense the 970 is about the performance of the 780.. so here is a link of ROUGHLY what you'd be expecting..
