I currently have a Pentium G3258 and a Gigabyte H81 MicroATX mobo (GA-H81M-DSV2). My PC is not complete and I'm looking to buy RAM now.

Apparently the cpu only supports up to DDR3 1333 and the motherboard only supports up to DDR3 1600.

Would it be possible to use a DDR3 1866, 2133, or 2400 kit? The reason I ask is because I plan to upgrade to the i7-4790k or a Broadwell Core processor along with a better motherboard in the next several months and don't know if I should just stick with DDR3 1600 or "future-proof" my purchase with a faster memory kit if possible.

Furthermore, will the speed difference really even matter much? If it's best to stick with DDR3 1333 or DDR3 1600, which would you guys recommend?

Ripjaws X DDR3 1333 cas 7 (7-7-7-21) 8GB (2x4GB)

Ripjaws X DDR3 1600 cas 8 (8-8-8-24) 8GB (2x4GB)

Faster RAM will just downclock automatically anyway, you can get any speed you like for now.

Do not bother with 2400MHz. Stick to cost effective 1866/2133MHz kits.
