PC Gamer recently published an article about 4K gaming, so you should give it a read.
http://www.pcgamer.com/2014/07/29/gaming-in-4k-the-futu...
4K could be within your grasp, but advanced settings will probably need to be kept to a minimum or turned off entirely. At 4K you don't need to use AA, and turning that off is usually the biggest factor in boosting frame rates.

Ohkay but i wanna run bf4 at ultra with no AA can i do so ??40fps abovve can be achieved ?
What would be a gtx 970 sli be like as i will upgrade nearly 6 months from now
GTX 970 SLI would be the better bet after you sell your 7970's itll consume wayyyy less power (Be easier on your PSU.. more overclocking headroom for CPU) and will probably be better for 4k gaming too due to 4GB of ram and im sure they're more powerful overall as well.

What about my current cards ??Will they scale well at 4k ultra in bf4 with no aa
They could probably do it at around 40-50FPS (as for the smoothness or i guess you can say jumpiness of the screen im not sure.. never had a Xfire or SLI build as i prefer a single more powerful GPU) But honestly 4k probably isnt worth it right now. 1440P or 2k is probably the most you should look at for best FPS/Graphical combination.

Ok so with my 2 980s and a devils canyon CPU with 32Gb ram I get about 60 fps at 4k in BF4 with the following settings:
Texture ultra
Texture filtering medium
Lighting high
Effects high
Post pro high
Mesh medium
Terrain and terrain decoration ultra
AA deferred and post off
Ambient occlusion ssao
So expect to have settings lower than these with 970s

Should i just get a 4k monitor and lower resolution to 2560x1600 and play at ultra and wait for 6 months or a year for a better generation cards??What do you all say
Honestly yeah 4K is pushing the limits
Current cards can, but barely.
If you want to get a 4K monitor you can run it though

No. Playing at a non-native resolution usually looks a lot worse than playing on another monitor where that resolution is native. Just get a 2560x1440 monitor if you're going to play at that resolution. Personally, 4K isn't quite where it needs to be yet for gaming. The GPU horsepower just isn't there yet and the monitors aren't there yet. Turning down so many settings kind of ruins the point of buying a 4K monitor, which you would be purchasing for the purpose of greater eye candy. Also, even if you had the best possible setup (4-way SLI 980s), you'd still have trouble maxing games out with an average of 60FPS. Hell, even if you were hitting 60FPS, you'd need a G-sync display to get the best experience (v-sync is inadequate due to stuttering and screen tearing is extremely inadequate without v-sync) and the only option for a 4K G-sync monitor is crap. Also, someone above mentioned that you don't need AA at 4K, but you still actually do. There are still jaggies even at that resolution (you'll only really need 2x MSAA or something equivalent).

Alternatively, you could get the ROG Swift, which is a 2560x1440 TN monitor @144Hz and has G-sync & ULMB. In my opinion, it's currently the best monitor FOR GAMING on the market. You get a high resolution, a high refresh rate, and two excellent features in G-sync and ULMB. The difference is night and day between G-sync On and Off. Also, do you really want to play games under 60FPS? Don't get me wrong, a higher resolution like 4K is great, but it's not worth the sacrifice in FPS and overall smoothness. However, if you're hell-bent on 4K, get the Acer G-sync monitor. It's probably the only monitor that I would recommend gaming on currently at 4K.
