Hey Guys/Gals,
Just looking for some help. I'm trying to make a gaming computer and I want to know how many 970's would fit and if all my parts are compatible.

CPU: 4790k
MOBO: Asus Gryphon Z97
RAM: 16GB Kingston 1866Mhz
GPU: SLi G1 970's
CASE: Zalman Z11 - how many G1's would fit in here???
PSU: 850W SilverStone 80+ Gold - Do I need more W's for 2? Or ever 3???
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro (64bit)
SSD: 120GB Samsung EVO Sata III
HDD: WD Caviar Green 1TB
Blu Ray: LG Read/Write
WIFI: Asus PCE-N15 - Any others? I'm pretty sure my motherboard doesn't have WIFI - I'm getting Ethernet later probably

Thanks for any help. :bounce:

2 will fit for sure.
But a third will not be possible due to motherboard limitations.

Your build is perfectly compatible but I would spend money differently, it has an overkill amount of RAM but a limiting SSD.
Also don't get "green" hard drives. Frustratingly unresponsive.

Thanks for the quick reply - but that RAM's price has seriously dropped! I'll change my HDD and think of extending my SSD - thanks. Also, I was thinking of getting this PSU: Antec 750W True Power Classic. 80Plus Gold. Up to 92% Efficiency, 2x High current +12V Rail --- http://www.i-tech.com.au/products/160940_Antec_750W_Tru... ---would this work?

If you need extra money, you can save on the motherboard. Its a little overpriced.

I can't find one - thats my problem. It needs to support SLi and 1866Mhz and at my local computer store I haven't found much else.

What do you think about the PSU problem I stated before? And will 2 970's get hot- I am in Australia. If so, how could I cool it? I've never been into cooling and I'm not sure what to get etc.. Many thanks anyhows! :D

That PSU will also be fine.

The GTX970s SHOULD be fine, just make sure they stay under 90C. If not, add some fans for case airflow and then you will be fine.
