Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased a GA-Z97M-DS3H to go with the the Haswell Refresh i5-4690k. Since this board is still pretty new, I haven't been able to find much information about it...kinda just purchased it because it was a good deal, at least it seemed like that way at the time. Will this board be sufficient for mild overclocks? I believe it's four phase only. I'm not trying to break any records or anything :)

Here is the link to the board:

Thanks!!

Should be fine, Intel CPUs have such little power draw, VRM phasing is less important for mild overclocks.

Thanks Novuake! I was just concerned about the lack of heatsinks on the mosfets and the effect it would have on the longevity of the system. Should this be something I should worry about? Never had a motherboard fail on me, but just wanted to be diligent about making sure this won't be the first. Last thing I want is something catching on fire..

I'm already exploring my cooling options with the 500r. Hope this will provide cooling to the hot mosfets.

Decent airflow should be fine.

Just don't go overboard on the OC, 4.5GHz or so should be perfectly safe.
