Can you set up a new build PC without a monitor. Just using a HDTV via HDMI?

I am building PC, but I have no monitor. I am planning on using my tv. Do I need a monitor to install the OS etc, or will the tv be fine on its own?

Yes, the TV will be fine! Installations and other stuff will be done soley on the computer. The TV or monitor simply displays what it is told to.

I did with mine but there was an hdmi out on my board.
