i have a llano A8-3870k clocked @ 3.5 on a msi a55m-p33 with a apotop 4gig 1333 ram
this pc is sluggish .. is it worth upgrading? maybe a mobo that supports sata 3 and usb 3.0
It really isn't any slower than a PhII system. More ram and an SSD would help considerably. Sometimes even a reinstall of Windows can make a world of difference, if your current install is a bit on the older side. What do you use the system for?
thanks for you input guys. about 200$? for a budget. just wanna know if is it worth upgrading. maybe new mobo. 8gig of ram. ssd. i use it for work. i also play but really dont care about game settings. this pc had a xfx 7750 hd but got toasted. so im in a dilemma.. buy a r9 270x. ?or build a kaveri and ditch this computer ) .. this computer on this setup will randomly freeze for 2 -5 secs. ram @ 20% usage cpu @ around 22% usage. temps @ 30 when im working
the computer doesnt act like a quad core. doesnt act like overclocked.. >_< or am i missing here. are llano chips this bad?
Most of the chip is taken up with the graphics, so the cores are quite small and low performance.
LLano is basically a Phenom II with IGP tacked on.
so is it smarter to buy a new mobo for this llano that supports usb3 sata 3. r9 270x power color devil., 8 gig 1866 ram, and ssd. then upgrade to "Fx series" in the future
