Hi, a couple weeks ago I bought a EVGA GTX 780, and I have been having really bad results. Here's the rest of my specs:
GTX 780, AMD FX - 8320 x8, Gigabyte ga-970a-ud3 motherboard and 4gb of RAM.

Solution
If you are running your CPU at stock, that is most likely the cause of your less than desired performance. If your power supply, and cooling is good enough, and your motherboard can handle the extra speed then I suggest going for 4.4/4.5ghz.

I see you are only running 4gb of ram as well. Are you running 32 bit or 64 bit windows? If you are running 32 bit windows the memory from your graphics card is taking away from your system ram. So if your GPU has 2gb and your system has 4gb, windows will only use a total of 4gb which will be 2gb for the GPU and 2gb for windows. 64 bit windows is not limited and would use all 6gb, 4gb from the system and the 2gb from your GPU. How many sticks of ram are you using to get 4gb? If it is only one stick...

Can you give me more details?

Without knowing more, I agree with the above comments that 4 Gb of RAM is hindering your performance.

Depending on the game(s), your CPU may also bottleneck if you're running at stock.

Assuming all your parts are working properly, I'd recommend purchasing another 4Gb of RAM (exact same RAM you have now, if possible. If not, get the same speed/timing - you will not benefit from buying faster, more expensive RAM if you keep what you have in your system). I'd also recommend overclocking with an aftermarket cooler.

Until we know more, that's about all we can offer.

What resolution are you running games at my friend had similar issue with his 8350 and a 780. He was getting same fps as his old sli 450s. The problem was his resolution he was running 1600x900 when he went up to 1080p his frames shot up.

I have 64 bit

Then first things first, figure out why 4Gb is all that is showing. Assuming you are looking under the system configuration. There are some apps which will think you have 4gb due to the application being 32-bit, make sure you are looking in the right place, and if it is 4Gb that is seen, you need to fix that first.
