motherboard best for sli

can anyone suggest me a motherboard that is best for oc,sli,performance and gpu msi n770 tf or gtx 970....i'm thinking about asus z97 A lga 1150 atx mobo is this a best choice?

Firstly get the GTX 970 and SLI that, much faster and efficient card for a little more, defiantly worth it.

That choice of motherboard is good and here are others to choose from -

ASRock Z97X Killer

Sabertooth Z97 - I have built computers with this and a very good board

Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 3

Asus Z97 - A is a great motherboard. But you have lots of options I would recommend the following.
1- ASUS Maximus VII Hero
2. ASUS Maximus VII Ranger (if you dont have the money)
3. MSI Z97 MPOWER mobo.

All these mobo's are very high end but you could SLI on alot of cheaper boards. But these ones would be my favourite for features, overclocking, and performance. (The MPOWER MSI Z97 for OC'ing especially)

Asus ROG are overpriced for what they are, Your really paying for the Asus bling. Though overclocking is supposed to be the best, compared to other similarly priced motherboards it isn't any different. That said there is no reason why you shouldn't get it, especially if you like the looks of it.
