Display (LG W2486L) connected through DVI-D port of motherboard (GA-H57M-USB3).
PC boots up ( I can hear the sound of successful boot in in Windows 8.1 as well as beep from motherboard speaker) successfully, the peripherals are ON (keyboard, Mouse) but there is no display on monitor.
When I reset the PC, the display appears on monitor and PC boots again-successfully.

Is my Display faulty or the motherboard malfunctioning??

BTW I am using 1st Generation Core i5, 650 having integrated Intel HD graphics.

No separate Graphics card.

Is my processor's integrated HD graphics not outputting the required signal at initial start up??

P.S.: The same is the case when I am using HDMI, but is less frequent. Sometimes display is there during initial start up with HDMI.

Hmm try resetting your CMOS on your motherboard. Sounds like that would fix it to me as it could be the chipset fails to interact with the graphics lane coming from the CPU socket on the first start up.

This is probably a dumb question, but is the monitor on BEFORE you turn the PC on?

Yes it is. You can usually tell when a monitor is on but doesn't have any signal when the little LED light (usually in the corner) is blinking.

If the CMOS reset doesn't work, try updating your BIOS...

@cowboydude99- Yes the monitor is ON, it's power LED keeps blinking. And Yes the BIOS is updated (F9-latest).

@dovah-chan- Will try the CMOS Hard reset .
