Okay, you really need to describe your problem better. Is your hard-drive broken? Or have you just removed the battery from the motherboard (resetting the bios) and now windows won't load? Can you get into the system bios? If you can you probably need to go to the sata settings and either change it from ide to ahci or vice versa.

Okay, you need check the bios and make sure the sata setting is set to the correct setting. If it doesn't work at the current setting it is fine to swap settings and test (ide and ahci settings). Also make sure that the hard-drive in question is in the boot list in the bios. For testing purposes I would set it to be the first boot option, if needed you can come back later and set usb and cd as first and second boot options in front of the hard-drive after you get everything running.

Interesting, did you check the boot order? Can you try going into the temporary boot menu "F11 I think" and selecting your hard-drive?

Also, make sure you save the bios settings after editing. Occasionally this step gets skipped.

Okay, shot in the dark... can you make sure your bios battery is good? Also make sure it is properly seated all the way, trace the hard-drive connections and make everything is properly connected and fully seated.

Are you getting any error messages? What happens when you try to start the computer, step by step with nothing left out please.

Also can you provide more details on how this happened, was the computer fully functional and you decided to randomly remove the bios battery? What happened and in what order.

Please check my last post and supply that info as well, there should be a button that you can press to see the post results. Try that and let me know what it says.

Or you can try disabling "full screen logo" in the bios to see the post results.

Also, try changing a settings in the bios and exiting, then coming back and making sure it's holding the changed value.
