The company I'm currently working for ordered some laptops that they need to image and hand out to users. The problem is the file system is in GPT and does not work with their encryption software. I've tried everything to try and change it to MBR and get the system back up.

Clean Windows install on MBR won't work because the CD-key is under license so I can't activate windows. It would have to be a Acer OEM restore cd anyways, which would just put it back on GPT.

Tried imaging the system out of the box as GPT, then cleaning and converting to MBR, and running the image, but it just put it back to GPT.

There are no OEM cds as expected since they don't hand those out anymore.

Anyone have any ideas? The closest I've come was we used a different Acer image after I changed it to MBR, and it stayed MBR, but there was corruption in settings which made it so the newest video drivers wouldn't work.

The only way to convert is to reinstall windows, no other way sorry.
You might want to download a installation disk from digital rivers and do a fresh install from there.

Maybe an easier solution. A full drive encryption for GPT. Free or very cheap software.

Can't use Bit locker all Windows versions are Professional
