Hi!
I just purchased a new router (Dlink Dir850L) and was going to connect it to my zyxel p660-HW-D1 but i just can't get it to work. Whenever i put the zyxel to bridge mode, the internet lamp goes off and i can't access the internet trough the router. It works to use the router with 1 computer when the zyxel is in routing mode otherwise it doesn't work. I live in sweden and have Telia as my ISP if that's make a differance. I haven't configured the router in any way except the wireless network. Do i need to configure it in some way to make it work?

Any suggestions?

When you put your zyxel router into bridge mode it is likely that it is no longer authenticating your login to the dsl, this authentication protocal is called PPPoE. You will need to go your loign info for your ISP and go into your Dlink router and configure your Wan connection to PPPoE and input your login iformation.

If you do not need to portforward or do anything like that, you could just dissable the wireless on the zyxel and plug everything into the router.

One more option is to turn your Dlink into an access point, This way it would act as a extension of your zyxel network (vs the 2nd option which makes it its own spereate network). Here is a decent general write up...

You can google to see if there is a more specific writeup for your dlink router if you want to go this route.
