Hi, I need some advice -
I have a Z87 mini-ITX board. I was supposed to put in it a 4590s but it was DOA, so I returned it and now that I got my money back I am ready to order another CPU. Was gonna order the same but the price of the 4690k is so competitive right now that it's sold for only 10 Euro more than any the other i5. I am not planning to overclock anytime soon (hence the low-power 4590s) but I already have a Z87 so who knows...would be nice to have the possibility to play with it one day.

But, can the smallest Noctua handle a non-overclocked 4690k with normal daily use (no gaming, light programming and photo editing)?
(specs:Fractal node 304, preferably lowest on fan speed and with the low-noise-adapter for the Noctua).

I recommend the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. It costs less than the nh-l9i, and would definitely give you some headroom when it comes to overclocking and daily use.

I forgot to mention that I already have the cooler and not planning nor have the budget to change it. Silence was the reason I got it in the first place.
