First I have a dell inspiron laptop windows 7. My laptop ran into a loop where it would start out saying on a black screen ..loading files. then would go to a blue screen with a startup repairs window searching..It would freeze and i had to shut it down manually..so this happened over and over again so I wanted to take my hard drive out and use an external imicro hard drive case to attach it to my home computer to save info..well that almost worked but my home computer isnt letting me in to see files.it did at first then it wouldnt let me after that. So I decided to put my hard drive back into my laptop and when i turned it on I now get a disk read error occured and i press ctrl, alt, del and takes me right back to the disk error screen..i cant get on to my desktop either..can you help me fix this problem

More about : disk read error occurred pres ctrl alt del restart

I'm sorry to say this, but it sounds like the drive may be dead. Were you able to see the drive in My Computer on your desktop PC?
