Hi Guys,

I am trying to build an all around rig with bang for the bucks components and needing some suggestions if what components should I choose, this is my first time to build my own rig, here is what I have so far:

CPU - AMD Kaveri A8-7600 FM2+ 3.10-3.80Ghz Quadcore
MoBo - Asus A58M-E
GPU - Sapphire R7-240 1GB DDR5 128bit Boost Full
RAM - Gskill RipjawsX 8GB Dual 1600 CL9
HDD - Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB
Chassis - Cooler Master K280 Casing
PSU - Cooler Master Elite V2 500W Power Supply

Are these the best bang for the bucks component or I need to change something specially the Mobo? Thanks!

Don't go with an apu if your using a dedicated graphics card its not the best bang for buck that way. Go with a fx 6300 or an i3. Also the r7 240 can barely game at all try a 260 or a 750 ti

if you have a local micro center the g3258 and msi z97 mb are 99.00 cobo deal this month. as your using a gpu your better off with the intel g3258 it a better gaming cpu or use the amd x780 cpu it cheaper and does not have the ipgpu built in. look at the 7770 or it replalcement or the 750ti cards as a min gaming card. on case look at the r200 or the r300 there both under 50.00 and are made for long gpu/gaming rigs. look at the 600b from evga or the 750 rev 2 power supply the 600wb let you run a bigger gpu latter on without swapping power supplys.

Yeah, the G3258 would be the way to go if youère building a budget computer.

I was trying to take advantage of AMD's dual graphics tech as I see that the R7-240 should work with the A8-7600 apu, I dont have much to be able to buy a decent dedicated gpu this time.

But if i go with FX-6300, will this gpu works fine: PowerColor HD 7730 1GB 128bit Gddr5?

An APU will actually bottleneck a dedicated GPU as the integrated GPU is far too weak. Only cards like the R7 240 will not be bottlenecked, and it'll yield NO performance gain (OK, maybe 1-2 FPS).

It defenitely will, but I'd recommend the g3258 as it performs equally (about) to the 6300 and it has a very good upgrade path.

I can still squeeze some to get this one PALIT GTX 750 1GB DDR5 128BIT OC STORMX GRAPHICS. now here is my almost final setup, pls check and see if we can still improve on, I am planning to OC btw, so is the mobo below will work fine?

CPU - Intel Pentium G3258 3.20GHz (Dual Core) Anniversary Edition
Mobo - MSI H81M-P33 V2
GPU - PALIT GTX 750 1GB DDR5 128BIT OC STORMX GRAPHICS
RAM - Gskill RipjawsX 8GB Dual 1600 CL9
HDD - Western Digital Caviar Green 1TB
Chassis - Cooler Master K280 Casing
PSU - EVGA 500B 500W 80Plus Bronze

Total budget is around $500 and it is now about to hit that mark LOL. Thanks a lot bro!
