I know the fan is designed not to run unless the PSU reaches specific power percentage but does it also run if the temperature is high even not enough load on the psu?

Corsair link shows PSU temp ~ 41C at idle, power draw is around 140W which is like 12% of PSU max capacity but the fan is not running at auto mode. I know psu can provide constant power @ 50C but is there any reason to keep the temp high? With fan running at 50% capacity, around 1000rpm its hardly audible but the temp drops to much better 32C.

It may be a profile setting for minimum noise?

Yes the auto profile setting is that basically fan doesn't run at all unless PSU has 40% or more load no matter if the temps are over 40C.
While if I set the fan to run at constant 50% the fan is still not audible, there are much more noisier fans in my case. The point of making this thread was to ask should I keep the fan on auto i.e. let the psu temp hover in ~40C's or keep the fan on manual to lower the temps.

Personally, if the small amount of noise doesn't bother you, then running it cooler is overall better.
