I don't know much about hardware, my friend made my computer for me, and i can't run too many things on high or ultra quality with major frame loss. I really want to know just how good my build is.

Build:
VGA ASUS|HD7870-DC2-2GD5-V2 HD7870

Western Digital Red NAS Hard Drive WD10EFRX 1TB IntelliPower 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

Processor: AMD FX(tm)-6350 Six-Core Processor (6Cpus), !309 GZ

Memory: 16384MB Ram
DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Card name: AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
Manufacturer: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
Chip type: AMD Radeon Graphics Processor (0x6818)
DAC type: Internal DAC(400MHz)
Device Type: Full Device

ANY feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks :)

You can consider this as a mid range build, can run most if not all games but on medium settings.

It's not bad, the GPU (7870) has been around for a couple years now, so it's not up to what newer ones will do, performance wise (according to passmark scoring) it's about half that of a 780

That would depend on budget, right now there are tons of great cards available at reasonable prices, I'd look to nVidia that just released the 970 and 980 cards at like $350 and $550 or so, then the ones they replaced, the Asus 780s were $520 just a few months back when I got mine and now are $330

780TI have dropped way down from over $700 and many others have dropped also
