I have a Dell Studio 540 desktop that I wanted to try to make a hackintosh out of using Niresh's OS X Mavericks install. I couldn't do any of the configurations in the BIOS that it says to do in the tutorial: http://www.macbreaker.com/2014/01/install-osx-mavericks.... Regardless I thought I'd try to install it. After the "installation" it just loads in a constant loop. I gave up on the hope of turning this old rig into a hackintosh, but I cant get Windows or Linux on it now. All I get is the Boot 0: Error when I try to do any boot. I even went into the Maverick's disk utility and erased the hard drive and then formatted it with FAT32 which was my only Windows-based format available. I'm confused as to what I can do to just turn this back into a Windows 7 rig. Any help would be appreciated.

Get into the BIOS, change the boot order to boot from the DVD. Boot from a Windows install disk.

If I burn an iso of win 7 to a disc will that work. Or do I need a genuine windows dvd?

Do you have a valid license key for Windows 7?

Well it's got the thing that automatically unlocks it when you install win 7. I believe its called RemoveWAT or something like that. It does work because I've installed it via usb and once via dvd on other machines. I'm just wondering if that will fix the boot thing.

I see.
Well...gonna have to close this. What you have is a pirated OS install.

Buy a legal copy of the OS, and come back if you still have this issue.
