Well, this has been a problem for a little bit, but I am now getting annoyed enough to ask. I have a router that I've had for a couple years. Not a top dollar one, but also not a cheap one. Problem is that the wireless does not want to become stable. Mainly connecting and staying connected. When I restart the router, my devices connect for about 2-3 hours, then after that point I cannot connect anything to it and all connections will drop. Can someone help me solve the problem? I'm very good with PCs but in wireless networking, not so much. Just enough to host servers.

[As much info as I can give below]

- Devices I am trying to connect the most: My PC, PS4/PS3
- My Main PC Specs:
Custom Built
Desktop
CPU: i7-4930k
GPU: GTX 780 Ti
Motherboard: Asus P9X79 LE
PSU: Seasonic 860W Platinum Rated
Case: Cosmos II
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaw Z Series 16 GB DDR3-1833
CPU Cooler: H110 Liquid Cooled
OS: Windows 8.1 Professional
HDD: 1 TB Western Digital 7200RPM
SSD: 128 GB Samsung 840 Pro Series

- Networking Specs:
Router:----------------------------Trendnet TEW-652BRP
Main PC Wireless Adapter: D-Link RangeBooster N USB Adapter
Adapter Model: USB Wireless Device v101B
Driver Version: 1.0.4.3
ISP: ------------------------------- Charter Communications [Speed] 60mbps
Connection Type: ------------- Wireless
Modem: -------------------------- Cisco DPC3008
Distance from Router to Main PC: About 25-30 feet, though 3 thin walls
Devices connected to router: (All these could get connected)
-Living Room Desktop: Hard Line - Always Connected, Runs for about 6 Hours everyday.
-1 Phone: Wireless - Almost never connected
-1 Laptop: Wireless - Almost never connected
-1 PS4: Wireless [Hard Line sometimes] - Almost always connected
-1 PS3: Wireless [Hard Line sometimes] - Sometimes connected
-1 PS Vita: Wireless - Rarely connected
-1 Gaming PC [My Main PC]: Hard Line [Sometimes Wireless] - Always connected, Runs for about 8-10 hours everyday. (I switch a hard line between my main PC, my PS4 and my PS3 because I only have one.)

Total devices normally connected at one time: 3 [2 Wireless, 1 Hard Line]

Last Details:

I get good signal on my main PC, so I doubt distance is a problem. The problem is connecting to it. The signal is always detected. The 2 devices I want wireless to work on is my main PC and PS4.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to help me.

Solution
have you updated the firmware on your router to the latest firmware?

Could your router be overheating? Is it in a well-ventilated area, not sitting on carpet or in a corner?

Well, it is dusty, but it always has been like that. I'll dust it off. As for the firmware, I'll check for updates. I'll let you know if it works.

EDIT: Dusted and Firmware updated to latest version. Now only time will tell.

EDIT2: Well, it's been about 20 hours without a problem, so it looks like that corrected it. Thanks again.
