Look at computer hardware. The amount of transistors in processors for example is increasing so fast, yet hardware has gotten cheaper compared to 10 years ago. I feel like hardware is going to be getting more and more expensive to manufacture in upcoming years, because they will try to push the quality so high that the price cannot remain where it is. What are your thoughts?

"they" will not push prices so high as to reduce the demand from "us".

What I'm saying is won't it eventually be too expensive to increase the power of computer components any further?

who knows?

Every time people think that component manufacturers hit a dead end or a plateau, they find some new way to increase performance without increasing price exponentially.

Absolutely! Intel came out with the 3 ghz pentium IV in 2002 and most of us thought we were heading towards 5 and 6ghz chips. Instead, we have far superior architectures and multi-core chips. That 3 ghz pentium was released at around $400 or more.
