I am trying to figure out how to use a single set of mouse and keyboard (keyboard logitech gaming wired and mouse is m700 gaming logitech mouse..wireless) , I need it run both computers. I have heard of a kvm switch but I do not think i need to switch video. I would like to set up my always on machine to us it but be able to use the same input devices for my gaming machine when I am able to play. I just dont want to lose the space on my desk and I need the always on machine to stay on while I game.
Any suggestions? I thought about synergy but says it does not work with gaming so ruled it out.

Just use the KB and mouse connections on the KVM switch if you have a monitor for each. Or get rid of one monitor - more room on the desk.

I have the 4 button version of this:

Depending on which Logtech gaming keyboard you have you may have a USB port on the back of it that you can plug your mouse into. That's what I did with my Logitech G110 and I use my switch to go between my 3 computers. (switching Monitor input still requires me to press buttons on the monitor but that's not as bad as having to unplug and replug cables all day.)
