I recently made a post looking for help building a home desktop for mild CAD/CAM duty. Solidworks 2D & 3D, medium sized files, Surfcam, Mastercam and light 2D Autocad will be performed on this machine.

Posted Here.

After some research and digging around, I came up with this set-up on pcpartpikcker:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/DH3xTW

I believe I have everything except for a case. *The site was saying it wasn't sure any of the cases would fit the motherboard and/or video card.*

Feel free to critique the build and let me know where I may have overspent or under spent, if I'm missing anything or if I have something listed that I don't necessarily need.

Thanks in advance guys.

I honestly do not know if Radeo will work well for CAD/CAM. Everything I have read has said to go with a workstation specific video card. i.e. nVidea Quadro or AMD Firepros, mainly the Quadros though. Quadros are out of the price range right now, as are the Firepros. (except the v4900, but i think its a wash compared to the gtx I listed.)
