I know this is an extremely specific question, so I really would just like a ballpark answer. As you have probably gathered, I plan on getting a 120hz monitor, so I want to use everything at it's maximum potential and be on my best game. If it can not achieve it, feel free to give me upgrades that would get me closer to my goal! Thank you.

EDIT: I will be playing on all low settings, but 1920x1080 resolution

That could probably do it at "near" maximum settings, at 1080p, but not max AA. Edit: Misread question, it could do 60 fps not 120.
I would recommend swapping that HDD for a Seagate barracuda 1TB (Not 1.5TB) and possibly a ssd.
What is your budget?

I have a $700 budget. I can ditch the OS. I'm not going to be using high settings or AA; all low settings.

You can easily do any game on low 120fps, You could probably do high 120fps on most games.

If you can get a seagate barracuda 1Tb instead (dont ever get 1.5Tb) It is considerably faster.

You will EASILY get over 250fps on that low settings with that i5 and r9 270x! Trust me!

Yeah I actually have had the computer built for 3 days now. Getting about 400 fps in CSGO, 100+ fps in archeage at max settings. Couldn't be happier!
