I'm planning to buy a GTX 970 and i'd like to know if the motherboard can support it since my friend said certain motherboards can't support this card. So I was wondering can mine support it? If not can it support a 760?

your motherboard will allow it to be plugged in, but any CPU you have socketed in that motherboard is going to bottleneck its performance severely.

Yes - a GTX970 will be fine on it.

But its a crap mobo. You can't put a good cpu on it or overclock a cpu. So the cpu will probably bottleneck the gtx970 performance.

You also need to have a good quality 500+W power supply. And the gtx needs to fit in your case.

I have a AMD FX 8320. Will it still bottleneck? If so will it be fine with a GTX 760?

You shouldn't have an FX8320 on that mobo. You should get a 990fx mobo. Especially now that you want to upgrade.

I have the same problem as him. With the same motherboard. But i'd rather upgrade gpu then mobo. Even though I could upgrade my mobo to something "better" i'd rather get something to over all increase system performance. Rather than buy a motherboard ON A BUDGET.

Who's "him"? There's only you.

If you stress that mobo, it'll overheat and you'll be in the poo. Since 780 chipset, AMD have gone to 960 then 970 and now 990.

But you do what you want. We can only give advice.

The board officially supports the 8320 , but due to it's poor power and thermal design , it's not a good match.

You can run a GTX 970 on the board , but you should upgrade the motherboard in the future.
