Adding two GTX760 vs one GTX980. Would it make a huge difference in Gaming?

If I add two EVGA GeForce GTX760 SuperClocked w/EVGA ACX Cooler 2GB GDDR5 instead of one EVGA GTX980 SuperClocked 4GB GDDR5.How much improvement would I see in gaming overall?

Do you have the 760 already ? The 980 will have less problem with about similar performance.

the main difference in terms of performance you'd probably see would be with your VRAM. Your SLI 760 setup would probably not be able to play the latest games with Ultra textures because of insufficient VRAM, but the 980 would do just fine with 4GB.

If you were choosing between the two setups, pick the single 980. More headroom, more VRAM, less power consumption

I have one 760 already but I have enough money to buy the 980 but...the cost for the 760 doesn't cost that much.

I used to have 760 sli, you'll be able to max out about everything on 1080p, not sure about 1400p tho.
