does 7.1 sound card enhances mic and headphone quality ???

7.1 only refers to the amount of channels (number of speakers) that the card supports, in this case 6 surround/front/rear speakers, 1 center speaker, and a subwoofer. It can enhance immersion if you have, like, and use all those speakers, when compared to a card with a smaller number of channels, but this number does NOT influence sound quality. For that you have to look at reviews of the card model itself.
Sometimes though usb cards have some troubles with them, or at least more problems than internal cards (such as driver issues that could cause crashes on a few select models, such as with my old Corsair HS1 usb headphones), so if you can I would suggest you buy an internal one instead (such as a PCI-E card)
