Recently my Pc's wireless LAN card disabled itself for an unkown reason, I found the driver and re-enabled it. but now my pc download speed is very slow, It will not go above 1-2 mbps download speed at all, I've plugged it straight into our modem and still had slow speeds. I plugged other pc's into it and got the correct mbps which is around 100 mbps through my internet provider. I took my PC to my work and set it up there and I still get 1-2 mbps. I'm aware the issue is caused from my system alone however I'm unsure of the exact reason so I've been unable to find a solution of any kind.

I've tried booting in safe mode with networking and that didn't help at all. Anyone have any sort of idea what could cause this?

You need to make sure you have the most current drivers from the manufacturer for your mobo and wi-fi adapters. Often, Microsoft will install drivers in their updates that "break" things....and only installing the proper driver fixes this.

installing the drivers made change, however turning on high performance mode did. I'm not sure why that is, but i've gotten up to about 50 mbps from doing that.
