hey guys..i just installed G.Skills Ripjaw 4GB DDR3 1600mhz CL9 1.5v on a motherboard that only run till 1333mhz ram max., and it worked..the weird thing is that the pc is reading it 1600mhz !
i thought it will down-clock to 1333mhz.

and when i opened CPU-Z to check on timings i found in the memory tab :11-11-11-28
and in the SPD tab i found : 9-9-9-24 , 10-10-10-27 , 11-11-11-30 , 9-9-9-24

do i need to set timings from the bios, or i'm okay?

DRAM Frequency : 798.3MHz ..

and my old kingston 4GB 1333Mhz was : 667Mhz.

I'm planing to install my old one again next to the new stick..but i need to make sure if i have to set any timings first...

they have the same voltage, but a little different in other things .. my old one in the memory tab was : 9-9-9-24..
its a little bit confusing

thank you..ok i just installed the other kingston stick and they dropped to 1333 and at 9s, But in the SPD tab they are different
the kingston stick appears to have a lower frequency and lower timings, am i okay?

P.S, its written in the memory tab Channel : Dual
