I have exactly $50 to spend on a power supply and want to know if the Corsair CX 500w is good enough for overclocking it to 4.2-4.5ghz? http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Builder-Series-Watt-CX500...

Its going to be a budget build but here's the parts

-Pentium G3258
-Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 3 Motherboard
-1 Stick of 8gb crucial ballistix ram (plan on upgrading to 16 when I can afford it, so that's the reason for 1 stick.)
-Asus CuCore EAH5770
-1TB WD Blue HDD

It should be fine, the AMD 5770 stock can take up to 105w tdp, and the pentium is not very demanding.

Personally I would save up for a better power supply, because the CX is quite cheap and for my friend runs really hot. (although that's our fault)

It will work however, the system is not very demanding.

Thanks that's what I thought just wanted to make sure. I will eventually get a 750w when I do another update to my PC which will consist of a 4690k and r9 280x
