hmmm I was looking for an article i read but I cant seem to find it.
anyway, the article was saying that MSI was the better card atm, with better overclocking possibilities.also slightly better cooling, but it's louder then asus.

the performance is realy close to each other between all of them, I think msi is also a bit cheaper then the others? that was the case for me at least.
and as jacknaylorPE said, dont take the evga untill they sort their heatsink out...

FAIL - http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/evga-geforce-gtx-970-a...

The 3 cards all came in at a dead heat at 39 dbA ... of course they all had different clocks so that has to be taken into consideration

Asus

Overclocked the MSI and Giga perform virtually identical, the difference being so small to be statistically insignificant. Unfortunately, yet again disappoints.

If ya mean PCI-E plugs yes

If ya mean Power Delivery..... Giga is 5 + 1 .... MSI is 6 +2....

The bit tech review goes into detail on the subject and you could say it separates the mean from the boys from the kiddies

MSI = 6 + 2
Asus = 6 + 1
Gigabyte = 5 + 1
EVGA = 4 +2

Asus = 8 pin PCI-E (handles 150 watts)
EVGA = 6 + 6 pin PCI-E (jhandles 150 watts)
Gigabyte = 8 + 6 pin PCI-E (handles 225 watts)
MSI = 8 + 6 pin PCI-E (handles 225 watts)

With 145 watt TDP, spikes will hit 165

TechPowerup measured a draw of 179 on the Asus and 188 on the EVGA which is way a bit over 150 watts ... tho remember that they can draw power thru PCI-E slot

aha ty ;)  and yes I know, but from looking at his, if you are going to OC, the better decision is still gigabyte and MSI

Last question, is everything good in this build?http://pcpartpicker.com/user/some1yuno/saved/69pQzy

No....

===============================
The WD Blue is one of the worse HDs ever tested... THG puts in 63rd place outta 65, I replaced it with the 1st place drive which is 2.5 times faster

http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/hdd-charts-2013/-17-...
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seagate-internal-hard-driv...
===============================

You have a half way decent 650 watt PSU in there which will power one 970.... for the same price you can get a 750 watter which will power two 970s and is of much better quality

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-110b2075...
==================================

I'd want a MoBo BTW, that would allow me to extend the life of the system 1.5 - 2.0 years by adding a 2nd GFX card. You have a board that can't do SLI and a CPU that ya can't OC in the future and the two of them are costing you a total of $279

For just $70 more ($10 MIR and 420 combo discount) you could have a Motherboard that does SLI, that does support overclocking is a gaming oriented board and a CPU that supports native overclocking

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Ite...

If you don't wanna Overclock you don't have to but it gives you the ability to extend system life substantially at some point in the future if you choose to do so and again, the ability to add a 2nd GFX card could add years to system viability over the long term.

Alright what you're saying seems good but thats way over my budget, I wanted to keep it under $900. If you have a build thats under that with the total being the base Total , without mail in rebate or promos

I don't understand why promos don't count, you don't t even pay those up front....and the rebates are just a loan......

And the PSU you picked has a $20 MIR ... the one I suggested is $5 more and $25 rebate ?

Your at $829 .... so adding the $70 for the MoBo / CPU compo Puts you at $908 ... the combo discount is pre-purchase so you never get charged the $20 .... and then you get $10 back ... so you $1 under ya budget

So you should be able to get that far no problem.

So the last question is .... do you want to spend $22 extra over ya budget to have all ya games load 2.5 times as fast ?

Would this be a better replacement? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-fatal1t...

There's always Rebates and promos, oft that's why you pick one component over another. And prices drop over time.....especially as November approaches.

As far as the AsRock, I wouldn't put it in the same league.
