I recently purchased a Gigabyte H81 MicroATX Motherboard (GA-H81M-DSV2). The specs say it supports DDR3 1333/1600. My Pentium G3258 also says it only supports 1333.

The Ripjaws X DDR3 2400 RAM is literally the same price as its slower counterparts. If I were to buy this, would it be ok? Would I be able to run it at 1600MHz and 1.5V? Is it possible to lower the cas latency as well? I've never built a PC before let alone messed around in a BIOS.

Generally, the RAM can be operator at slower clock speeds without a problem. But it's not always a guarantee.

Yes, may have to set manually but they will/should work and with nice tight timings :)
