Hey everyone I already have a PC of my own that I built myself however I was wondering what others thought in the community was the best possible all round (for gaming as well as rendering) PC for $2000 AUD ($1754 US). This means no bias towards any of the brands or generation of the hardware simply the best performance possible for the cheapest prices that in total adds up to less than $2000 AUD. I am also taking into consideration overclockability of parts as measure of performance for price. Also this is only including the standard PC components and case no other accessories such as mouse or keyboard. I am really interested in what other people consider the best performance as of today for $2000 so please everyone leave your suggestions below.

For $2K you can probably just squeeze in SLI 970s. Price for performance this is what I'd do:

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($39.00 @ Mwave Australia)

Motherboard: ASRock Z97 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($178.00 @ CPL Online)

Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($99.00 @ CPL Online)

Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($137.00 @ CPL Online)

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.00 @ Centre Com)

I think it is better to get two 970s only slightly more expensive for much more performance. You'll need to get meatier powersupply though.
