Would an old Intel 520 series SSD still be faster than a 5400 RPM laptop hard drive

I have a spare 520 that I used to use for my desktop before I got the 730 upgrade and I was wondering if it's worth the trouble putting it into my laptop which has a 5400 RPM hard drive? I don't really use my laptop for storage so the 120 gig SSD should be enough space for the OS+ Microsoft Office+photoshop programs.

Yes, extremely faster. The access times are MILES ahead of a slow 5400rpm hdd. I need to upgrade to an SSD in my own laptop as well honestly, 5400rpm causes lag and hangups with moderate multitasking for me.
