Hi,

I'm a bit puzzled at which monitor to buy so here I'm asking for suggestions. Recently I bought my i7 4770k with asus pro motherboard. But I'm still using my good ol' CRT monitor but it always strained my eyes too much and it still does. So I have been searching for second hand monitors in near by shops.

The second hand monitors are mostly of 2010 - 12 with rarely some from 2013 manufactured. And are usually of Dell, Samsung, hp and some accer's brands. So I would like a suggestion of a best suited 23-24 inch quality model from these brands around those years.

I've looked for LED monitors and one particularly of 2013 make, i get cheap is Dell P2213F for 98 dollars 22inch (which isn't really supporting 1080p though but i really liked its display)

on 24 inch I have found Samsung SyncMaster BX2440 LED

some of the other models i lost in the form of misplacing the paper i wrote them on. So i will repost them later. But i would love to get a suggestion of a monitor from those years.

Im looking for second hand as its much cheaper and are almost as new, They come in bundles so they have many of same make and model so dead pixel and stuff i can check from bundle of same monitors.

One other thing if it happens that i can save money for later please any suggestion from this site for a new monitor of around 23 24 inch. I want best bang for my buck.

I'm giving link to the LED monitors since i think they are more brighter and crispier but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not really knowledgeable in these matters.

My use:
I play a very old RTS game (Age of Empires II: The Conquerors) online with HD support and I do lot of graphic designing as my hobby. so response time, I don't think, is an issue for RTS game that old. But i like a quality monitor for my buck which doesn't decay soon. I have been using my CRT monitor for more than 12 years and it still haven't have any problems. So i would like such a LCD/LED monitor too.
