Hello everyone. I have a Fujitsu laptop and use Realtek HD Audio manager to change the pitch of songs I practice my vocals to. In the past I've used some cheap speakers that plugged in to my 3.5 jack and never had problems changing the pitch of any sounds on it, especially songs (instrumentals) via You tube. However, I've just bought some Samson GT USB speakers and although the Realtek sound effects application panel comes up ok and I can change pitch on screen, the facility doesn't work anymore. That's to say when I shift the pitch up and down in Realtek audio manager, no pitch change happens through my speakers to the songs I want to sing. My speakers have an audio interface in-built, so I'm not sure if that's part of the problem but I can't figure out why the pitch shift won't work anymore. Samson don't supply special drivers or software as they are not needed. Any thoughts?

Solution
Hello... the USB connection is the problem... it does not come from the Realtek Audio output/effect that you are using... The software "effect" that you are using comes from the realtek hardware and must be connected to the realtek output connections to hear the "effect".
If you have another piece of Audio Playback equipment in your Room, you might be able to use a 1/8" stereo sheilded cable to connect to it, from your realtek outputs.
Other wise return them for Powered Speakers with a RCA/1/4"/1/8" input jacks.
Hello... Return your USB speakers... your can connect your Realtek outputs to a Audio amp/reciever/Powered speakers by getting a shielded 1/8" stereo cable and/or adaptor... this will be the best option in the long run. let me know what you have/use as Music playback device.
