Hello guys,

I currently have this HDD (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148138)

I'm planning on changing it to (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236625&cm_re=wd_black_1tb-_-22-236-625-_-Product)

I would like to know how much performance will I obtain if I do change it. If I do, is it noticeable?

Thanks in advance.

You are not likely to get much noticable performance increase between two different 7200rpm hard drives.

The new drive with have slightly higher sequential read/write because of higher data density, but I doubt it will be noticable.

If you want to bump up your performance, buy a small SSD for ~100$ to fit your OS and your most used programs on, and keep a hard drive for large files.
