MSI Mother Board not staying off!

Hi folks, I'm building a new system and have a brand new Z97 Gaming 9 AC main board. It's not posting at all and at first I though I hooked up the case panel switches wrongly. But I have systematically disconnected everything but RAM, CPU/Fan, PSU connections. When I press the power switch on the mainboard the system will power up. The LEDs will display various codes, many of which are not in the reference guide. I press the power switch again and the board shuts off - then in 5 seconds it powers itself back up. The only way to turn it off permanently is to use the power supply switch to kill power.

Advice please?

The 4690K is the Haswell Refresh, and from the MSI you need the 7926V11 BIOS for the new cpu. http://us.msi.com/support/mb/Z97_GAMING_9_AC.html#support-cpu

You may need to flash the new BIOS, and I don't know it has the new one or not, but I guess it don't. You can try to get other cpu ( or borrow one ) and install it to try out and update the BIOS. Or go to local PC shop ask for help.

Thanks for this research. But without being able to see the bios I don't know what I have. I've opened a ticket with MSI support. We'll see how good they are
