Solution
Is this a proposed build ?

1. The H60 isn't helping anything, a cheaper air cooler would do much better.

2. With the 970 having arrived, it's real hard to make a case for the 290.

3. The Novatech is not something I can recommend . The EVGA B2 750 is just $50 on newegg

4. The case is a bit small .... I'd look at the Phanteks Enthoo Pro

Can't say I know anything about Battle Toads ..... but you can compare the 290 and 970 in 17 popular games here:

Hey man thanks for the help. I have bought about half of the components, I have bought the 290s, case, psu and ram

Since the case is small I thought the h60 would be better as the 290s are known to produce an immense amount of heat, I have a rear end exhaust fan and a 120mm on the roof both pushing out and a 80mm on the side door blowing into the general gpu areas and the temps I get are very good temps while gaming (60-75) with fan speed on 40% being very quiet. So I thought freeing up the case abit with the current dark rock pro cooler on cpu would be more aesthetically pleasing.

The psu is the v2 gaming verson that is listed on the 80plus.org website, and the oem is known to make the OCZ units, heres the test report:

Looks pretty good, I agree on the H60, a Hyper 212 EVO would be a better cooler if OCing, and the 290s do get rather hot, plus the 970s are more powerful + run cooler. The Z97-A can run XFire or SLI so might think the SLI route (their drivers are better than XFire also, especially with multi-monitor setups). Also with pricing as is, might go up to 1866 or 2133 on the DRAM, basically same as 1600 these days

The H60 won't do anything for the heat from the 290s

80 plus web site is by no means an endorsement of quality .... all 80 plus refers to is how "green" the PSU is. While going "green" is nce form a environmental perspective, the primary purpose of a PSU is to provide safe, reliable and stable voltages to your components. Bronxe, Silver, Gold, Platinum say nothing as to how well it does that.

OCZ is by no means a + in this regard

But OCZ doesn't make their PSUs
