Will this motherboard fit in this case?

Motherboard: http://goo.gl/Wvs4ri
Computer Box: http://goo.gl/KmwrEe

If not, can anyone provide a different motherboard for about the same price (or less), that will fit into my case, and allow me to fit an 8-core processor? (http://goo.gl/BNnjV5)

More about : motherboard fit case

Case has a uATX MoBo so you would want to replace it with a uATX MoBo

The MoBo has a ATX Form Factor

Can only find 960G Micro ATX boards from Gigabyte

I think the HP case has difference back I/O panel layout, if the back panel can't be remove, it will not fit, so you need check it out first. Here is the GA-970A-UD3P back I/O panel looks like. http://www.silicon-edinburgh.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2...

If it can be remove then it may fit because the case is the Mid-size ATX, but one more thing to check, that is the front panel connectors http://forums.techguy.org/attachments/126506d1203028652... because regular case will come with those type.

Okay, so I checked out the panel and it has no screws. It appears I might be able take it out. There are no visible screws, but the panel appears to flex a little which makes me wonder if it can be popped out, once the motherboard is removed from the computer.

My dad he usually takes care of the computer tech issues. He wants to replace the broken motherboard with the same motherboard and processor, but if possible, I would like to upgrade to am3+ and a better processor.

After further inspection, there is a slide-down panel in the front that has a mic and headphone port along with two usb ports.

Because the case is OEM type, so if you are the handyman you can try to cut it out or buy the new case too.

For the front panel connector, the HP should have but maybe not the individual type, that means you need find out which one is which. So you maybe just buy the new case, sorry.
