Hello. I have a HP Laptop running Windows 8.1 Update 1. Since yesterday, randomly, my explorer.exe is not working. On startup, it freezes, and then the screen blinks. I use task manager to kill explorer. Also, I am not able to connect to internet even though I am connected. I can only access the internet via Firefox or by pinging via the command line. Chrome and Internet Explorer are not connecting to the internet. I tried to run my antivirus but it's not booting up and I cannot download anyother antiviruses, since I cannot download anything. When I run explorer.exe, task manager says that about 99% of the CPU is being used. Is this a virus attached to Firefox or something? Firefox updated itself a day before this occured?

Update: I tried to boot in safe mode didn't work. I now think it might be fragmentation, but I'm still not sure. I ran sfc/scannow in command prompt and it said that there was error which it could not fix telling me to look in C:\windows\log\cbs\cbs.log
