In January, GTA V comes out for Pc and I don't think my current rig can handle it.

current Pc specs:
Processor - AMD Fx-6100 OC 3.5 GHz
Motherbored - MSI 970A-43G
RAM - Adata premier series 4Gb 1333Mhz OC to 1600Mhz
GPU - Radeon HD 6670 OC (not a big OC due to voltage lock and its just a crappy card)
HD - WD Blue 1TB 7200Rpm
PSU - 400 Watt coolmax

If i get 8Gb of ram would the game run smoothly? I dont really care a whole lot on graphics. I can run most games with FXAA and on medium or high. Or do i need to upgrade both GPU and RAM? Watch_dogs ran decently but on low graphics and had little or no lag.

Take a look at an R9 270X for the GPU and also have a look at upgrading to a 8GB kit.

I found the Powercolor Radeon HD 6970 2Gb GDDR5 is cheaper and runs almost the same as that card. I've been looking for a replacement for a while now and already found that card. i cant spend more than $120 on a card and ram isn't an issue, that stuff is getting cheap. thanks for your recommendation! im just trying to find other options :)

Thats a bit too expensive. The Powercolor Radeon HD 6970 has a slower core clock (880Mhz) but the bit interface is bigger (256 bit). Plus there are more shading units and texture mapping units. Thanks for the feedback tho!
