Please any opinion or help with my situation would be appreciate.
I own vaio windows 8. 2 weeks ago i updated to 8.1... after some updates for 8.1 i was unable to start my windows again ( many had this problem with continuous attempts to solve error). couldnot solved this problem (hard drive was locked...etc) got angry and smashed my laptop.
the hard drive seemed got damaged. after several attempts to enter BIOS then other stuff.. i could only see X: instead of C: ...
sure took it to a shop for repair.. placed another 500 GB hard drive and installed windows 7 (which i like and prefer). told me they couldnot restore any files
got my old hard drive home, connected it to a SATA and then to USB port. the hard drive wont appear on my laptop. after searching on google and tomshardware, am trying few restoring programs as GETBACKDATA and Mini Tool Power Data Recovery
is their any possible hope i can restore anything...had loads of files that are now all lost ;(
