I am building p[c etc

ram cpu cooler etc instaled!

ive lined up my standoffs on my case. my CASE IS fractal Design r4
and my motherboard is z97x gaming 5 by gigabyte.

the 7 holes on the motherboard do not line up! but the I/O shield does? can someone realyl help me please id apprecaite it so much>

ive tried and idk what to do? i was told it would fit my multiple people here and other forums.

Solution
I GUARANTEE that board fits in the case properly. I have seen builds with that case and board.

Have you never done this before? If not, the I/O shield can be a bit confusing. You need to get it properly lined up and facing the proper direction. Install it BEFORE the motherboard. It will nap into the case. If it does not snap in, the board will not fit properly.

The I/O Shield has nothing to do with standoffs. See where the stand off is interfering with the motherboard and REMOVE IT OR YOU WILL KILL YOUR MOTHERBOARD AND MAYBE OTHER PARTS TOO

Wherever is a hole, there needs to be a standoff.

See if there is a stand off under the motherboard.

That case has plenty of different threads for standoffs, just pick the ones that match your mobo. You don't necessarily need all 7 of them but the corners and front of the mobo will probably fit if you just try.

hm yes look though on this picture

on my motherbaord! the 3 holes on the 2nd line have 1 hole, then the last 2 holes are close together./

now on the case, the last 2 standoffs holes are further apart so therefore do not line up?

what do you think? the motherboard last 2 wholes are close togther
but on the case, they are further apart so how are they supposed to fit onto that motherboard hole?

tiny voices is correct. That I/O shield can be a bit hard to snap in place sometimes. You may need to insert it before putting the mobo in placed and force it in using your thumbs to press fit it in place from INSIDE the case, not the outside.
I'm sure you will get it all figured out.

put it in from the inside.

will edit this........... before putting the IO shield in. set the mobo in place. find out what holes line up. screw stand off's there................

I SEE THE CASE has indentations............and I see holes in those indentations......... if they have threads you might need slightly longer stand off's for those particular spots if they line up with the holes in the board............. DO NOT SCREW SCREWS IN SO TIGHT THAT THEY BEND OR WARP THE BOARD. If you have to do that then something is NOT right.
