Okay so these noises have been worrying me for a little while.

GPU - Sort of grinding, clicking noise when under high load. Usually quite enough to be silenced by the game volume. It's not in any sort of, pattern, it's just a constant sort of background grinding, that instantly goes away if the game is exited or paused. MAY BE COMING FROM THE PSU. Hard to tell, but in either case, is either of these dangerous to make this noise? Is definitely not coil whine. Coil whine only happens when V-SYNC is off by the way, is this normal also? Card is about 2-3 months old, EVGA Nvidia GTX 770 2GB Superclocked.

Hard drive - Not too worried, makes a "normal" clicking sound, I believe, but seems to be somewhat constantly. Except when playing games, but browsing the internet or downloading something, it's hard to silence it, and is rather noticeably noisy, easy enough to put up with, but maybe to noisy for a hard drive. Tested with HDD sentinel and HD Tune, both say is in good health. About 3-4 months old. Western Digital 2TB Green.

PSU - Same/ possibly mistaken for/by GPU. Just would like to know if this would seem normal, no boot problems, no shut downs, nothing like that. Nothing with any of these components as of yet, I think. Also about 3-4 months old, Corsair CX750M. I've seen these get a bad name sometimes.

Optical drive (maybe) - Seems to be coming from the optical drive, and I hope it is, because if there is a problem then it's not expensive to replace if anything should go horribly wrong with it. On boot up, it makes quite a kind of deep, "brrrp brrrrp" noise. It happens every single time, and only has 2 of those noises, and always keep like the same sort of pace. The more worrying thing, and remember I'm not sure if this is coming from the optical drive, it just seems to be; is sometimes, 50/50 chance when turning the system on, you can hear a very slight sort of high pitched yet rather subtle and quiet squealing noise. Sort of like a rusty gate closing. Hasn't always happened I believe. There seems to be no 100% accurate length, but the longest I would say is 3-4 seconds, and the shortest has got to be like, a second. About 3-4 months old also, LG DVD drive.

#Ehem# LOL, did you pick on your PC with your baseball bat or something? Animal...

But in all seriousness, when was it the last time you cleaned it?
- If your answer is "recently", then you probably damaged components with too much air pressure - your fault.
- If your answer is anything more than 6 months, then you should be banned for PC abuse!:kaola:

I don't really understand what your top line means, could you explain? And about 3 months, I haven't cleaned it properly, that's when it was actually built.

Have you got a CPU with integrated graphics? If so, take out or otherwise disable the gpu then see if the noise is still there. If it is, it's your PSU, if not, RMA the GPU

Yes I have got a CPU with integrated graphics. I don't really see what you're trying to say. That noise only happens when under heavy load, by the way, and it did it on my other GTX 770 by Gigabyte that I had too. I'm getting really worried now and ticked off. Did I pick on my PC with a baseball bat though? What's that supposed to mean?

You said in your original post that you didn't know whether the noises were coming from the PSU or GPU. I suggested a way to find out which it was but now you seem pretty sure it's the gpu...

It seems unlikely that you've gotten two faulty cards but just in case is there any way you can record a video (with sound obviously) and put it on YouTube or similar so we can listen to the sounds?

Hmmm I mean, PROBABLY not. To be honest I'm more sure it's the power supply if I got it on both cards. And I hate to use the words grinding or clicking because that sounds too extreme just by the words but, it's sort of more like a humming that isn't there when it's not underload? It doesn't really sounds like air though. And the card doesn't show any sign of dying. None of these things do, it's just these damn noises.
